Think Smart
The dG is a monocular with 8x magnification and an objective lens diameter of 25 mm (1 in). The camera channel is independent of the optical channel. This means that no data or numbers appear in the field of view. The digital function of the dG is only possible when connected to a digital end device.
In the optical channel, a mark represents the limits of the image section. This mark should be focused via the diopter adjustment. This is the basic prerequisite for a sharp photo, as the camera's rough focus accesses the focus of the optical channel. The image should not be focused via the digital end device as the autofocus only focuses definitively once the release button is pressed.
Wi-Fi Hotspot
The dG creates a Wi-Fi hotspot and connects to the other devices. The range is about 16 feet. Bluetooth and internet connections are therefore not needed. The dG and apps work offline! However, live streaming is not possible via Bluetooth because there is insufficient bandwidth.
Rugged Housing
The housing's protection rating is IP 67, so it is waterproof for 30 minutes at a water depth of 3.28 feet. In practice, this means that even heavy rainfall will not damage the dG.

The camera's digital system focal length is approximately 20 in, which corresponds to around 10x magnification. The CMOS sensor has 13 MP. The camera sensor stabilizes the image.
