Surprisingly, iPods weren’t a success at first. They were quite expensive and only compatible with Mac, hence many people did not buy them. It took them about 5 years for iPods to raise in popularity. Apple managed to sell a whopping 100 million iPods throughout this time. They set the record for the fastest selling music player ever. Now, that’s an accomplishment!

The iPod nano and shuffle were both discontinued on 9th September 2014. However, the iPod touch is still available now. Apple is currently selling them on their website!

iSight

This was Apple’s webcam that could be connected to a computer through a Firewire cable. Introduced in the 2003 Worldwide Developers Conference, the iSight was initially planned to be used with Apple’s video-conferencing client “iChat AV”. This webcam could also be utilised to record video footage for iMovie.

As of 13th October 2008, Apple has discontinued the sale of this product from both their online and retail stores. This “iSight” name, however, is now being used to describe the built-in cameras inside iMacs, MacBooks, Thunderbolt and Cinema Displays.

These vintage products may not be widely used anymore but they are definitely still prized possessions for many.
